And this bit is from the Simon himself....

Rudy Project 6 North Bucks Road Club Disabled Time Trial

The race took place over 20.8 miles which was 2 laps of the rolling circuit. The day was not to bad it was just overcast but still warm. From the start it was very fast even though there was not much of a down hill i was doing 37 MPH towards the give way junction at Celvert, we had good marshal at this junction who actually stopped the traffic. The road from Celvert to Edgott was a bit more rolling were i managed to settle in to a rhythm of 25/26 mph, the bad part of this road was the turn at Edgott it was a down hill dead stop turn back on to a uphill bit but once over that it was a rolling road with a bad surface all the way to the turn at Shipton lea. The road surface got a bit better from here to the finish but it was now a gradual rise all the way, this is were i lost some time and were my Ave. speed was dropping off and then it was back to the fast bit for a second lap.

  1. simon richardson 51.42
  2. adam smith 53.20
  3. richard davies 55.20

this is the first time i have beaten adam he is normally a good minute faster than me and he said he was flat out so that makes it even better.

off to Matlock next in a couple of weeks.

due to this race i have now moved to 3rd over all in the rudy project series which is good as i have not done all the races also at the end of the series they take your best 5 races for your total so i should be 2nd overall.

In the disabled B.A.R i am 3rd for now and with some luck i can finish 2nd in this but ever race count in this series and i would have been first but 2 of the disabled road races were cancelled so i lost points there.

so next year i will have to win both and get gold in the nationals because that's the only place left.

If anyone wants to sponsor a good disabled rider who travels the whole country let me know.

thanks for reading this
