Our club was established in 1926, and has grown to have over 100 members and be one of the strongest and most successful cycling clubs in Wales. We have various rides throughout the week that suit varying standards, and the club's constitution states “its primary objective shall be to encourage the sport and pastime of cycling in all its forms.” That said, a racing bike is advisable, and mudguards are appreciated on Winter rides.

For those trying out the sport for the first time we recommend coming along to either the Friday afternoon or the Saturday 10:30am rides. However, before you can take part in any ride, we must confirm that you have suitable 3rd-Party liability insurance in place. This comes as standard with membership of:

Saturdays 10.30am Softrider's Bash to Ewenny Cafe 28 Miles
Sundays 10.00am Sunday Club Run, (much) less than 20 mph average 50 miles+
Sundays 10.30am Family Ride. The ride starts from Afan Argoed Country Park and is totally off-road using the excellent cycle routes up and down the valley from Afan Argoed. These routes are suitable for mountain-bikes, hybrids, tourers and road bikes with slightly larger tyre widths. Bike Hire available.
